My parents just left after visiting for two and half days. It was nice to have the company and they enjoyed helping with and watching a big transition for Girlie. Without further ado, I present….
A big girl in her big girl bed!!!

We’ve also managed to take the pacifier permanently away from her! I feel a bit guilty as it’s obvious that she still wants it and would use it, but it was time to say adios to them. My parents, Erik and I were talking to her before the big “take away” night about how big kids don’t use paci’s and that she doesn’t need them anymore. Her response was, “I’m a big kid. I have a paci.” Hmm….she’s a smart one that little logically thinking girl.
She also had fun the past few days with the new addition of a big girl swing. We had a baby swing up, but thought she’s like this one better. Here’s my Dad and Girlie in the backyard.

I’ve been enjoying some time to take photographs. It’s fun for me to take some time and try to get some good images. Here’s one of my favorites of the week.

And finally, I leave you with some special artwork by the kiddo. She really enjoys making me stick to the old saying, “don’t cry over spilt milk!” Arg. We’re working on the use of the big girl cup these days. Wish me luck. Or, should I say wish my walls luck that they don’t permanently look like streaked-milkly-lasnagne walls everyday.

Susie, Your table looks a lot like ours after lunch today. In fact, exactly. I need to go clean up the milk now! Thanks for sharing so much of your life over your blog. I really enjoy reading it!
